	Children's Special Needs Sites Some Helpful Links For Parents and Educators
	This page has been created in the interest of further enhancing parent's and educator's understanding of children's differing abilities. Armed with a little knowledge and a LOT of love there are no limits to the heights our children can achieve. Regardless of some of the best professional diagnoses and predictions, many of our most celebrated scientists, athletes and politicians have soared to enormous successes. I name Albert Einstein, Bruce Jenner and John F. Kennedy specifically. For a more comprehensive list and a better understanding, I highly recommend the following URLs, beginning with one of my all-time favorites.

	Our-Kids Website - Our-Kids Devoted to Raising Special Kids with Special Needs. Our-Kids is a "Family" of parents, caregivers and others who are working with children with physical and/or mental disabilities and delays. Mobility International USA - Mobility International USA. They are a nonprofit organization that promotes equal opportunity for people with disabilities. The International Dyslexia Association - The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with dyslexia, their families and the communities that support them.
	Learning/Teaching Resources
	Essential Learning Institute - The Essential Learning Institute offers hope and remediation for children and their families as they struggle with Learning Differences. Worth it for the resource links alone. LearnOnline.com and Clonlara School - These two sites are for online schools and resources which could help you decide to end your private and public educational needs by homeschooling.
	Legal Resources
	IDEA Partnership - The IDEA Partnership site reflects a collaborative effort of over 55 organizations and agencies on local, state and federal levels, each dedicated to helping you understand, navigate and secure the free, appropriate public education your child is entitled to under the law. Wrightslaw - Wrightslaw includes thousands of articles, cases, and free resources about dozens of special education topics.

	Prevention, Remediation, Research And Information Dispensation
	Academy for Educational Development - AED is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to solving critical social problems in the U.S. and throughout the world. Major areas of focus include health, education, youth development, and the environment. Disabilities Studies and Services Center - AED established DSSC in 1994 to design programs that meet the unique information, technical assistance, training, and research needs of professionals and programs that serve to improve the lives of infants, toddlers, children, youth, and adults with disabilities and their families. First Signs - First Signs® is dedicated to the early identification and intervention of children with developmental delays and disorders. NICHCY - National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities. NICHCY is here to share information about disabilities in children and youth.
	This list is admittedly brief, as the links within each of these sites more than cover the basics of the legal, educational, psychological/psychiatric and medical aspects of our children. Each is worthy of exploration simply for these rich resource links.
